A patient’s decision to commit to a plastic surgery procedure is not one we take lightly as a practice. At Indian Hills Aesthetics, we value building relationships with our patients through education and compassionate, complete care.
We are going to cover what sets us apart as a Tuscaloosa cosmetic surgeon, all the treatments we provide, how our process works, and we’re even going to offer expert advice on looking for a surgeon.
About Dr. Wallace
Dr. Chelsea Wallace is an Alabamian through-and-through. She grew up in Florence, earned her degree at the University of Alabama, and then completed medical school at the University of Birmingham Alabama.
After finishing medical school and completing her Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Kentucky, she moved back to Alabama to open up her own practice as a board-certified Tuscaloosa cosmetic surgeon—and now here we are!
As a female-owned practice, we are especially passionate about helping women. We provide expert, compassionate care in giving women the support they need while helping them build confidence.
Our practice isn’t just for women of course, but that is where our passion lies.
A Patient-Focused Practice
Finding a doctor and care team who actually listen these days can be challenging. Patient care and focus is at the core of our practice. You can always expect us to listen to your wants and needs.
Our patients are the reason we do what we do. We want you to feel comfortable sharing your challenges with us and allow us to carry some of that weight. With us on your side, you will overcome these challenges!
We start the process off right by actually taking the time to get to know our patients. Our team doesn’t just want to know what you want done; we want to know your reasoning behind it and what brought you to us.
Cosmetic Plastic Surgery vs. Reconstructive Plastic Surgery
Since we value educating our patients as a Tuscaloosa cosmetic surgeon, we want to acknowledge the difference between cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Although both of these use similar methods and cosmetic surgeons can practice both of them, they are not the same thing.
Cosmetic surgery focuses on enhancing appearance, while reconstructive plastic surgery focuses on repairing functionality or reconstructing defects.
For example, breast reconstruction is reconstructive surgery, while breast augmentation is cosmetic surgery. Our favorite thing is helping patients feel happy and confident with their appearance!

Treatments We Provide
Now that you know the difference between cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, we’re going to give you a brief overview of the treatments we offer.
Breast Augmentation
A breast augmentation changes the shape and/or size of breasts. Before a patient receives breast implants in Northport, they are able to look at different shapes, sizes, and materials.
Breast Lift
A breast lift corrects and contours saggy, droopy breasts. Sometimes a breast lift and an augmentation are performed together for patients who want to increase the size and position of their breasts.
Breast Reduction
A breast reduction involves removing excess breast fat and tissue to decrease breast size or fix disproportionately sized breasts.
Breast Reconstruction
A breast reconstruction restores missing or damaged tissue, shape, and symmetry usually for patients who have undergone breast cancer treatment.
Surgeons who perform mastectomies often refer patients to Dr. Wallace for breast reconstruction!

Mommy Makeover
A mommy makeover is a combination of cosmetic procedures aimed at treating a variety of areas on the body that have been affected by pregnancy and childbirth. A mommy makeover can involve a tummy tuck, breast lift, augmentation, or reduction, liposuction, and labiaplasty.
Women are able to decide which areas they want to target with a mommy makeover.
Tummy Tuck
A tummy tuck—abdominoplasty—is a cosmetic procedure that removes excess skin and fat in the abdomen. If needed, your Tuscaloosa cosmetic surgeon may also tighten the abdominal muscles.

Liposuction
Liposuction is a fat reduction technique that targets small deposits of fat in the abdomen, thighs, hips, arms, buttocks, and neck. Small suction tubes are inserted into an incision and remove the fat cells.
Labiaplasty
A labiaplasty targets functional and aesthetic concerns of the vagina, such as childbirth trauma, urinary tract infections, and symmetry. During this procedure, the surgeon trims the excess tissue of the labia minora.
Facelift
A facelift (and neck lift) lifts and tightens sagging skin, removes excess skin, and smoothes out folds and wrinkles.
Aesthetic Treatments
Our aesthetic treatments are completely different from everything we covered above. They are non-surgical and non-invasive—woohoo!
Botox
Botox—as we’re sure you already know—is a wrinkle relaxer, also known as a neuromodulator or neurotoxin. It relaxes your muscles and smoothes out your wrinkles. It treats sagging brows, forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, marionette lines, and multiple other fine lines.
Botox is great for preventing and correcting wrinkles and fine lines.
Dermal Filler
Dermal filler restores lost facial volume and smoothes out wrinkles. They are not neuromodulators—so they don’t stop your muscles from contracting. Filler can treat a variety of wrinkles and fine lines on the face, lost volume, and thin lips.
Filler vs. Botox
The best way to think of filler is that it’s “filling” in your wrinkles, fine lines, and hollow places where you’ve lost facial volume. Botox, however, is literally stopping your muscles—that create and showcase wrinkles—from contracting.
Medical-Grade Skincare
Medical-grade skincare products target a wide variety of skin-related conditions. The term “medical-grade” means they have higher concentrations of active ingredients—which is the good stuff your skin needs. Drug store products do not have as high of a concentration of these necessary ingredients, therefore they don’t work as well.
Medical-grade skincare products offer prescription-strength ingredients to help your skin heal quicker.
The Indian Hills Surgery Process
Our goal at Indian Hills Aesthetics is to make our patients feel as comfortable and at ease as possible. We follow an in-depth process for each of our procedures in which you will always be an active participant in.
You value being informed, and we will make sure you are during every step of the process.

Before receiving any treatment from a Tuscaloosa cosmetic surgeon, there is one important step—a consultation! If you are seeking treatment from our practice, you’ll meet Dr. Wallace.
She will get to know you and your concerns, ask about your goals and expectations, and explain the procedure(s). We urge you to ask her questions as well—she’s here to provide you with resources and any support you need.
2. The Procedure
When you arrive for your procedure, you will have the opportunity to ask any last minute questions. Dr. Wallace will go over the procedure information again, further discuss post-operative care), and make sure you’re comfortable and ready to begin.
Dr. Wallace will then begin treatment.

Before you receive treatment, you will have all the aftercare instructions you’ll need for a smooth recovery.
Post-Operative Visits
After a surgical procedure, Dr. Wallace will usually want to see you at your 1 week,1 month, 3 month, and 6 month mark (depending on the procedure).
Our Pricing
At Indian Hills Aesthetics, we value being transparent with our patients about everything we do—this includes pricing.
We want you to feel comfortable at all stages of your treatment journey. Before your surgery, you’ll know your costs. In fact, before you even come in for a consultation, you can receive an estimate of your costs!
Our team will get back to you with an estimate as soon as possible.
